What’s Been Keeping Us Busy Lately
If you’ve popped into the workshop recently, you’ll have noticed one thing straight away — uniforms and merch are the name of the game at the moment. From branded workwear to custom team gear, it’s been a season of dressing brands from head to toe.
Classic Black & White, Everywhere
One trend we can’t get enough of right now is a return to the classics. Clean black and white prints have been going out across a whole range of garments — tees, polos, jackets, you name it. There’s something about a well-placed monochrome print that never goes out of style. It’s bold without being loud, versatile enough to sit on a uniform or a limited-run merch drop, and it photographs beautifully whether it’s on a shop floor or a trade show stand.
Simple doesn’t mean easy, though. Getting black and white prints to look sharp — crisp edges, solid coverage, no muddy greys where you don’t want them — takes a dialled-in process. It’s a good reminder that some of the most striking work comes from restraint rather than a rainbow of colours.
A Fun One: Enhance Physiotherapy
Alongside the uniform runs, we had a really enjoyable smaller project land on the bench — a custom appliqué patch for Enhance Physiotherapy. This one was a bit different to our usual print work, combining a few techniques into one finished piece:
- Custom fabric patches, cut and prepped specifically for the design
- Appliqué work, layering the fabric to give the patch some dimension and texture
- Embroidered logo detailing, stitched to bring the branding to life with a clean, professional finish
Patches like this are a great option for anyone wanting something a bit more tactile than a standard print — they add texture, durability, and a premium feel, whether they’re going on polos, jackets, or caps. It’s always satisfying seeing a logo translated from a flat design file into something stitched and three-dimensional.
The Common Thread
Whether it’s a big uniform order or a one-off patch project, what ties it all together is the same thing: getting the details right. A good uniform run needs consistency across every garment. A good patch needs precision in the stitch and the cut. Different techniques, same standard.
If you’re thinking about uniforms, merch, or something custom like an appliqué patch for your business, get in touch — we’d love to help bring it to life.
